“Make-up is the art of discovering the best features of your face and accentuating your individuality!" Are you a spring, summer, fall or winter type? Discover that, and you perfect color palette follows naturally.
Everyone has a natural affinity with the colors of the four seasons, and will look their best when make-up is attuned to those tones.
First of all remove all your make-up and wear a simple white top. When sit in front of large mirror under good, natural light. Take a good look at yourself – what do you see?
Spring type: delicate, light skin with a golden yellow undertone, often a light yellow peach-pink overtone. Light or dark blonde hair, with a few gold highlights.
Typical make-up colors for the spring type – fresh, clear, gentle, pastel shades that fade quickly into apricot and salmon pink rather that rose.
Summer type: usually very fair, yet sometimes with an olive complexion recognizable by its bluish undertone. Hair color varies between blonde and brown and always has an ash tone in contrast to the golden tone of spring type.
Neutral beige, cool pink, cool steel blue and muted rose – summer types will always look right with these colors.
Fall type: fair skin with golden colored undertone, either very transparent and with freckles, or an intense peach color or gold beige. Red hair. If not at least a copper shimmer in brown hair.
Khaki, olive and mustard yellow, petrol and apricot eye shadows. All red tones that tend towards brown and yellow are right for lips and nails. Only fall type can wear orange and copper tones – pretty in the evening with golden shimmer.
Winter type: “Snow White" type. Dark hair – from brown to blue-dark. Intense, cool iris colors with a clear white to the eye. The skin as pale as porcelain or lightly olive-colored – in all cases with bluish undertone.
The colors for winter type: clear red or pink for lips, cold blue, green or violet for the eyes. However, be careful which combination to use.
Once you have chosen your season, experiment with a group of you fiends. Analyze and compare the effects of different colors have on your skin. Enjoy learning about colors and you will soon discover those perfect which make the best of your looks! http://www.nuptia.ca
